Ashley M. Caldwell
Government Affairs Associate
Ashley M. Caldwell is a Government Affairs Associate at Capital Impact Group (CIG), bringing experience in government affairs, public policy, local government, and community advocacy in New Jersey. Prior to joining CIG, she gained government and public-sector experience through her work with the City of New Brunswick and the Middlesex County Courthouse, where she developed a strong foundation in local government, constituent services, public policy, and civic engagement. She also serves as the youngest elected member of the New Brunswick Board of Education, where she advocates for students, families, and expanded educational opportunities.
In her role at CIG, Ashley supports clients through legislative research, policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, client communications, and strategic government affairs initiatives, helping clients navigate New Jersey’s legislative and governmental landscape.
Ashley earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Policy from Rutgers University–New Brunswick’s Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, graduating with high honors in her major. She was selected as a 2026 Sheila Y. Oliver Legacy Award Honoree in recognition of her commitment to public service and community leadership. A passionate tennis player, Ashley was the youngest recipient of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Eastern Volunteer of the Year Award, recognizing her contributions to the sport and her community.
