Sabeen Masih

Sabeen Masih has a vast experience in legislative analyses and public affairs on local and statewide levels. Her experience in advocacy and government affairs spans throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Previously, Sabeen worked under Councilman Curtis Jones Jr. in Philadelphia, on budgetary and local policy issues, and worked on PA state campaigns as a speech writer and media and fundraising advisor. While in New Jersey, Sabeen worked in Legislative Affairs Unit within the New Jersey Department of Human Services, where she focused on legislative and healthcare policy.

While attending Rutgers’ Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, Sabeen earned a Masters of Public Policy with an emphasis on Political Processes and Institutions. There, she earned the Eagleton Governors Fellowship, which provided her the opportunity to join the Legislative Affairs Unit within the New Jersey Department of Human Services, where she focused on healthcare. During this time Sabeen also interned and then worked part-time with Capital Impact Group, and its public affairs affiliate, Open Door Media.

Sabeen has also founded the growing group Asian American of Trenton Networking Group, an organization dedicated to connecting and increasing the number of women of Asian descent who are politically engaged throughout the state of New Jersey. She is also a member of the Eagleton Alumni Committee, the Bipartisan Coalition for Women’s Appointments (BCWA), a Mentor for the Rider Women’s Leadership Council at Rider University, and a Mentor for Rutgers’ Road to Government, Policy and Service (RTGPS) program.
